CRE Industry Chat: Using Yelp as Marketing Tool

Broker Savant, a well know commercial real estate blog, recently wrote an interesting post regarding Yelp and how CRE professionals can utilize it to identify prospective clients. Three of these ways are as follows;

1. Customer Service 
Add value to your clients by not just selling/leasing them a building but also educating them on what Yelp users are saying about the respective space. Make your client aware of anything that people write about that relates to the property itself.

2. Identifying Leads and having a introduction
- That cold call just became warmer now that you have read something pertinent about a prospective client's business. Tell them what you read and how that pertains to what you do.

3. Location, Location, Location!
Search the word "location" in yelp and see what comes up. Are there Yelp users hoping their favorite restaurant or store would open up another location? Perhaps you can aid the business owner in doing so!
